i run a calibre-server but I should say that Calibre is just an essential component of a larger system for me in which I use Lazylibrarian to do the bulk of the management. I usually buy a book in amazon and then just drop it into a watch folder where lazylibrarian will get it, sort it into a folder with some metadata and then call calibredb to import it into calibre.
I´ll then access the calibre-server web ui from my kindle and download the book I want.
What is missing here is that I don´t seem to be able to tell Calibredb to convert the books to mobi, or anything else at all.
On a side note I have noticed some bizarre behaviour with the De-DRM plugin too, I have to strip this off because I use linux and drm does not work in linux. Over the past few months, i notcied that it would fail to remove the drm but after a few restarts for other reasons, eventually, the book would become free of drm.
I have never really got to the bottom of that but for now, I will be happy to just be able to get some non-drm books to auto convert to mobi (or another support kindle format)
Can anyone lend me some insight into how this can be achieved?
