I just created my first EPUB file. It was from a pdf. The pdf was about 186 pages with black text (Times New Roman, about 11 point), with grey-scale photos on several pages. Each pdf page was 6"x9".
My converted file looks great in the calibre E-book viewer except a blank page appears between each "original" pdf page. If I re-convert the pdf, is there a setting I need to select first before converting so I do not get blank pages?
I read pdf's are notoriously bad for converting. When I made the original pdf, I removed extraneous pixels and made the text crisp even to the point of making certain character combinations (such as fi and fl) more distinguishable.
I'd attach the job details as suggested elsewhere, but since I closed Calibre and re-opened it, the job details for the conversion are not showing in the "spinner" at the bottom right. The epub file is almost 23,000 KB so I did not try to attach it to this post.
Thanks - David
